Drop Biscuits

Makes about 11-12 biscuits
This recipe may be doubled. 


 
What You Need:
  • 2 cups unbleached white flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 7/8 cup (3/4+1/8 cup) soymilk or ricemilk
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
What You Do:

  1. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the milk and oil.
  3. Stir just until you have a moist soft ball.
  4. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 450F untl the tops and bottoms are browned, about 10-15 minutes.
